What BankSheet does
Upload a text-based bank statement PDF. BankSheet (getbanksheet.com) extracts dated transactions into debit and credit columns, shows a preview table, runs an opening-to-closing balance check, then lets you download CSV or Excel with Standard, QuickBooks, or Xero presets. Not banksheet.io, banksheet.pro, or getbanksheets.com.
Who it's for
Freelance bookkeepers, bookkeeping practices, and small firms that receive client statements as PDFs and need month-end workpapers or imports into QuickBooks or Xero— without rebuilding the register by hand. Prefer CSV or Excel? Use the dedicated convert pages, or see pricing for page allowances.
How it differs from Bank Statement Converter / DocuClipper
Generic converters often stop at a table dump. BankSheet (getbanksheet.com) is aimed at bookkeeping workflows: balance reconciliation is visible before you export, retention is short (in-memory, discarded after about 60 seconds — see privacy), and exports include accounting presets. Honest DocuClipper comparison: BankSheet vs DocuClipper. Looking for a DocuClipper alternative? Start there. Demo mode works without Clerk or Stripe, so you can verify fit on sample pages first.
Parse & preview
Date, description, debit, credit, and running balance in one dense table — spreadsheet clarity, not a marketing card.
Balance check
Pass/fail reconciliation with opening, computed closing, and difference so you catch bad extracts before filing. Method on How we check balances.
Short retention
PDFs stay in memory only — discarded after processing; contents are not logged.

FAQ
- Which bank statements can BankSheet convert?
- BankSheet (getbanksheet.com) parses text-based PDFs from major US and UK banks including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, Capital One, American Express, Barclays, HSBC, NatWest, and Revolut, plus a generic fallback for similar layouts.
- Do you store my bank statement PDFs?
- No. Uploads are processed in memory and discarded shortly after conversion. We do not keep long-term copies of your statements, and we do not log PDF contents.
- Can I export for QuickBooks or Xero?
- Yes. Choose the QuickBooks or Xero export preset, then download CSV or Excel formatted for that accounting package. See our QuickBooks and Xero import guides for the full workflow.
- How is BankSheet different from Bank Statement Converter or DocuClipper?
- BankSheet (getbanksheet.com) is built for bookkeepers: balance reconciliation is part of every conversion, retention is short (~60 seconds in memory), and exports include Standard, QuickBooks, and Xero presets. See the BankSheet vs DocuClipper comparison. Demo mode works without forcing Clerk or Stripe setup.
- Is BankSheet the same as banksheet.io, banksheet.pro, or getbanksheets.com?
- No. BankSheet (getbanksheet.com) is this product. banksheet.io and banksheet.pro are separate converters; getbanksheets.com is a Plaid-to-Google-Sheets sync. See the About page.
