Statement uploads & retention
When you upload a bank statement PDF, BankSheet processes the file in memory to extract transactions and run a balance check. We do not keep a long-term archive of your PDFs. Processed uploads are discarded after approximately 60 seconds. Download your CSV or Excel promptly after conversion.
No logging of PDF contents
We do not write statement text, transaction rows, or PDF binaries to application logs. Error logs may include generic failure messages (for example, “failed to parse”) but not the contents of your statement. Usage metering may record page counts and plan limits — not payee names or amounts.
Account & usage data
If you sign in, we store account identifiers and plan/page usage so we can enforce allowances. Payment is handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on BankSheet servers. Demo mode works without Clerk or Stripe — see pricing.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for demo sessions, usage metering, and authentication when Clerk is configured.
